Jeddy is an offline social discovery app designed to help people who are already at the same venue meet face-to-face. You see who is at the same cafe, bar, festival or concert, match with them, and meet without prolonged in-app messaging.

Four steps: you discover people who are active at the same venue, you match when the interest is mutual, you play a quick game of Rock Paper Scissors, and you meet. The loser buys the drink, and a radar helps you find each other in the crowd.

Not exactly. Jeddy can be used for dating, but the focus is meeting people in real life. Making friends, joining a group or building a social circle in a new city are equally valid ways to use it. That is what group mode is for.

There is no long messaging, because the point is to meet rather than to chat on a screen. You are already in the same place. The game takes the burden of the first sentence off you and leaves you something to talk about when you meet.

Location is used only to show people who are in the same place as you. Your exact address or precise location is never shared with other users; they only see that you are at the same venue.

Once you match, a quick round of Rock Paper Scissors starts. Then meetup mode kicks in: a hot-and-cold radar helps you move towards each other through the crowd. The loser buys the first drink.

Breaking the ice. The single biggest reason people never meet is that nobody says the first sentence. The game removes that burden and leaves you with a ready-made topic. The keepsake receipt printed at the end becomes a shareable memento.

Someone opens a group room, and other people at the same venue see it and join. Once the room fills, everyone plays Rock Paper Scissors and the last two to lose buy the drinks. Meeting people does not have to be one-on-one: several people who each arrived alone can become one table for the night.

There are four mechanisms: the daily photo keeps profiles current and real, shy mode removes the public rejection moment, report and block is one tap away at any time, and your precise location is never shared. As with any meeting, we still recommend choosing busy public places.
